Jabber From The Hut - Episode 15 - Why copy matters...

By Matthew Wood July 29, 2019 Copywriting Podcast Growth marketing Jabber from the hut

This week on the podcast we have two guys that throughly believe that the pen is mightier than the sword...

Yes we have two copywriters in the shed, as I welcome podcast newbie Sam Jones and a previous podcaster Chris Clark to Jabber from the hut.

The theme of this episode is all around copy and 'why it matters' in the digital age. Often shunned by its more visual and colourful siblings design and development, copy is an integral part of marketing and content.

The guys talk about everything from what makes a good copywriter, to how copy is taking the lead in modern digital marketing practices.

We also managed to record this on the hottest day of the year in a well insulated shed with no air con which was interesting to say the least...

Matt joined ClientsFirst in July 2016, having previously specialised in social media for a range of client-side brands; from radio, to fashion, property investment to music. At ClientsFirst, Matt gets involved with all of our digital marketing, leading the way on our clients’ social media efforts, PPC and contributing to the team on areas such as SEO, Website UX, creative development and email marketing. When he’s not our social expert, Matt focuses on his music. A keen singer, guitar, piano, bass and drum player, Matt plays live when he can and otherwise spends time in his home studio. When he needs a break from that, it’s Sci-Fi at the cinema, or a few beers at pubs around the Cheshire countryside.
