On 1st September, the team will be lacing up their walking boots with the aim of taking on 8 of the Lake District’s peaks in a single day, including the highest mountain in England!
This trek definitely isn’t for the faint hearted, and they’ve got some preparation and hill climbing to do before the big day.
With your help, the aching feet will be worth it. Please donate by clicking through to our Just Giving page. Here’s what some of Team Trek have to say about their upcoming challenge:
“The British Heart Foundation is a Charity very close to my heart. I am having to make some fairly substantial lifestyle changes to be ready for the Trek! Looking forward to getting fitter and raising as much money as possible during the process!” Gemma Hayes
“I'm really looking forward to challenging myself and doing it for such a good cause will make the whole experience feel like such a fantastic achievement.” Paula Fletcher
“A brilliant excuse to see the amazing sites of The Lakes...and all for a good cause.” Adam Taylor
"Excited, daunted, exhilarated and petrified in equal measure - stocking up on plasters, energy bars and Kendal mint cake already." Lindsey Russell
“Having previously only ever walked as far as the pub, this is indeed going to be 'a challenge!” Sam Turner
“I’m just thinking about how amazing the views will be at the top! It's going to be tough, but worth every muscle ache for a great cause.” Ellen Adams
“I'm under no illusion that this is going to be tough and take lots of planning and training but I'm looking forward to getting fitter and supporting such a worthy cause.” Jenny Mawson
